Crafts, Painting and Social Activities for People Over 50
If you are over 50, local and want to take part in a range of activities with friendly like-minded people, then come and join us and have some fun. We organise a variety of arts and crafts activities, entertainment and lots more. You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. At Bella Projects we ensure there is something for all to enjoy.
Here at Bella we offer unusual and imaginative art and crafts activities which are conducted by local professional artists and tutors. We provide all the materials required and no previous experience is required as our tutors help and guide you all the way.
Our workshops are specifically tailor made for individuals who would like to make friends and chat over a cup of tea or coffee, socialise and take part in a range of activities that are both unusual, interactive and, above all, full of fun and laughter.
A program of workshops is produced each month and you can book as many or as few workshop sessions as you wish.
‘Arts & Crafts for All’
We believe that arts are great for everyone, regardless of ability. Through art individuals explore who they are and share their view of the world with others. Here at Bella Projects we never discriminate, we put everyone on an equal level. Our aim is to offer positive choices to individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities. We endeavour to reduce isolation, stigma and discrimination so that everyone can share in the life of the whole community. We approach this by offering unusual and imaginative art and crafts activities, conducted by local professional artists and tutors who are supported by volunteers, with an aim of increasing confidence, improving physical and mental wellbeing, enhancing communication and social skills, empowerment and granting the power of expression both verbally and non-verbally.
Our workshops are specifically tailor made for individuals with a learning and/or physical disability who would like to take part in interactive and imaginative arts and crafts activities, meet and make friends over a cup of coffee and take part in a range of activities where they will be welcomed and made to feel at home. The workshops will be full of fun and laughter and make a real difference to the lives of our guests and reduce isolation and depression and thereby improve mental health.
